Daniel Colantonio is a transformative artist whose stories are rooted in place and told at human scale. As Executive Producer of Prosperity Studios, he believes that when artists are nurtured, their projects stewarded, and IP protected, their stories can blossom into timeless tales that uplift, inspire and entertain for generations.

Born outside Boston, he is a life-long writer who fell in love with movies in high school working at West Newton Cinema. Studying politics and philosophy at Boston University, he then worked at a local newspaper before moving to Los Angeles to write screenplays.

While working on film/TV sets and writing scripts, he also developed his entrepreneurial spirit in direct sales. His continued pursuit of personal and leadership development shaped him into the social entrepreneur he is today.

In L.A., he also embraced his spiritual path and was blessed to discover Paramahansa Yogananda, the Self-Realization Fellowship, and Agape, which made a deep impact on his inner journey and the stories he’s inspired to tell.

Moving to Santa Barbara, he co-founded Hustlers for Humanity, a nonprofit using a team sports approach to inspire community service. Though rewarding, he credits the 2020 pandemic as a catalyst to embrace himself as an artist and return to writing.

He launched Prosperity Studios to develop his work and support other artists. His mission is to curate a slate of values-aligned projects that become long-term, durable, cultural assets that bring asymmetric upside — to each artist and all who support them.

“If you have built castles in the air,
your work need not be lost;
that is where they should be.
Now put the foundations under them.”

~Henry David Thoreau
