Daniel Colantonio is a transformative artist whose stories are rooted in place and told at global scale. As President and Producer of Prosperity Studios, he believes art—when honored and stewarded—can lead to a living library of timeless tales which uplift, inspire and entertain for generations. His mission is to curate a slate of values-aligned projects that become durable, cultural assets with long-tail value and asymmetric upside.
As a life-long writer born in Newton MA, he fell in love with movies in high school working at the West Newton Cinema. After graduating from Boston University, he worked at a local newspaper before moving to Los Angeles to write screenplays.
While working on sets and writing scripts, he developed his entrepreneurial spirit in the direct sales industry. His continued pursuit of personal and leadership development shaped him into the social entrepreneur he is today.
As he embraced spiritual growth, the discovery of Paramahansa Yogananda, Self-Realization Fellowship, Agape, and kundalini yoga all made a deep impact on his journey. After moving to Santa Barbara, he co-founded Hustlers for Humanity — a nonprofit using team sports to serve the community.
He credits the 2020 pandemic as a catalyst to return to writing. He launched Prosperity Studios to develop his work.
“If you have built castles in the air,
your work need not be lost;
that is where they should be.
Now put the foundations under them.”
~Henry David Thoreau
